Unaffordable call rates and prepaid account gone negative

I don't really have any specific dates. I just know that this Securus call thing is a joke. The rates are ridiculously high. I am a single mom with my husband locked up. I have a broken-down car, and my electricity got shut off. I need my husband's support, and I can't afford to put time on my prepaid account. Last night he called, and the call before said we were out of time, so he was going to leave a message. It let me accept, and now I'm $7.00 and something in the minus, so when I add the little I can, it will already be almost gone. Just another way for us loved ones waiting to suffer, I guess. Why can't they be 5 cents a minute like in prison?
