Disputed $300 Roaming Charges From Phone Turned Off in Australia

Told I had over 300 in roaming charges - I asked to see proof of such - from a location I was in (Australia) as the phone was turned off all the time I was there. They said they couldn't product proof from another country - and that I just had to pay. Horrible customer service.
