Miscellaneous

I purchased a return ticket from Pittsburgh to Islamabad from the company. On my way back from Islamabad, the first flight the company gave me from Islamabad to Dubai did not exist.

I was not notified of any cancellation. Since the flight did not exist and I wanted to catch the remaining of my flights from Dubai to DC to Pittsburgh so I went ahead and purchased another ticket from Islamabad to Dubai from Air Blue. The ticket was for approx US$ 288.

Because of this change in flights, my luggage was kept at the Dubai airport and not checked all the way to Pittsburgh. I had to purchase a transit visa for another $136 to enter Dubai for 5 minutes and enter again with my luggage.

This was possibly the most stressful flight of my life because I was also not feeling well during the travel.

Since I had just recently graduated and was in process of moving to a new city, the $424 less in my pocket left me broke and homeless for a few weeks. I had to stay with friends because I couldn't even afford a hostel.

The Travel agent has stopped responding to my emails and my calls. They are completely refusing to take responsibility for selling an air ticket that didn't exist.
