I had a terrible run in with a company called Pleasure Time Readers. Located in Massina, New York, They are the biggest scam artists in America.

I received a call asking me to subscribe to magazines for 5 years. Before I ended the call, I let the rep know that I wasnt comfortable and changed my mind. The rep began asking me why don't I trust them. I thought the matter would be resolved.

Much to my surprise, I received my bank statement which stated that two payments of 39.99 were drafted from my account which overdrafted the account and created $30 in overdraft fees. I called the company dillegently, and they refunded one payment of 39.99. But the other payment was never returned. On two occasions since, I've called in and spoke with a rep name jennine. She was a royal bitch. She kept putting me on hold without informing me that she was doing so. On the first call she told me they'd put the 39.99 back into the account even though they show both payments were returned.

I didn't receive anything. I contacted my bank and they said there's nothing they can do since I authorized the withdraws. But I did convince them to lift the over draft fees.

So that night I call Pleasure Time Readers and was on hold for over 30mins and each time the line said I was the next caller, the line was disconnected.

The next day on my lunch I called and got through to Jennine, who again had a terrible attitude. I told he I'd spoken with her before and she acted as though she didnt recall. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said she was one. During that call she promised to send a check of 39.99 to my address. I questioned her again and again asking how do I know that she is telling the truth. She said I'll send it in the mail. I said ok and before I could get another comment out, she hung up.

Believe me when I say, Pleasure Time Readers are pure scam artists. The con good people out of their money and don't take no for an answer. 39.99 may not seem like a lot, its just the principle of the matter. Take it from me, if you receive a call on you cell phone saying you're entered in a contest that enables you to get great magazines at discounted prices. Hang up in their face.
