$56 overnight documents for surgery patient sent back to Memphis

I paid $56 for overnight delivery of critical documents for an elderly brain surgery patient. The documents had to make it. They did not. FedEx got them to within 70 miles of the destination with 10 hours to go within the delivery window. Instead of delivering the documents, they shipped them back to Memphis, causing a 3-day delay in delivery and a delay in the patient's disposition. They still have not delivered the documents, and I cannot get ahold of anyone there. Absolutely disgusting!
