Xfinity Comcast autobill pay will keep you from getting gift card promotions

Comcast was offering gift cards for new customers to the tune of $250 if you were good on your payments for 90 days. What they so conveniently forget to tell you on any account is that it takes 30-45 days for there system to accept your card. Also if for some reason you need to update your card information there is nothing that states that it will take 30-45 days to update the information.in fact when you add a new card and try to make a payment you get a warning pop up that states that you currently have auto payments setup are you sure you want to make a payment!

Well to any consumer this reflects "hey we have your card and we will make the payment so you do not need to use this new card" or if your card were to fail because you had to replace it there auto generated email only says that the payment has failed and that you need to login and update the card to make a payment.

Now understanding that pop up warnings would be a little more involved but a auto generated email could easily inform you of the necessary time frames when adding a card and that before you add a new card and apply it to your auto pay you must first make a payment that is due then add the new card to auto pay. Pretty simple but apparently left out to avoid having to payout there bogus new customer spiffs. This is wrong and I as a customer am getting punished because of Comcast failures as a company to fix very simple issues because to them it would mean having to payout to new customers.
