CenturyLink
Dishonesty

Internet & Web

I named CenturyLink today to setup dried cycle 1.5 mbps DSL service. The buying price of this support on the site is $39.99 monthly. The client support representative attempted stated she was trying to find the "best offer" and attempted to market it in my experience for $49.99. Normally I questioned why it had beennot exactly the same cost as online. She set me on-hold and stated she discovered a "unique" and also the cost will be the publicized $39.99 monthly. At this time she's appeared twice for that "best offer"- fascinating. We do the creditcheck that needs me SSN, that we am not keen on supplying. Anything checks out, no deposit required. We continue with purchasing, she attempts to promote me modem - No appreciate, I've one. The device however, which was a lot of. To deliver the device to my home is likely to be $14.99, I replied I had been not thinking about the device possibly subsequently. Placed on store again, okay delivery is free. But there's a $4.99 charge for that device, MONTHLY! Modems price around $50, over the life span of the merchandise I'd purchase it often over. At this time I decided I had a need to look around a little for support. The endeavor, I think, to up-purchase the buying price of the support, then excessive shipping prices, and over-priced price for that device simply looks shady in my experience. It makes me wonder if businesses realize it is a fortunate to possess clients, not really a right.
