AT&T
Charged for a Service that was not Provided

Late in AT&T shut down their CallVantage service that I was using for my telephone service and forced all of their customers to find new phone service providers. I decided to port my number to the AT&T home phone service and at the same time cancel my Time-Warner Internet service and switch to AT&T. I first had the AT&T phone and Internet services connected, to my home so that my phone service would not be interrupted when I ported the number. After the phone ant Internet was connected, I called AT&T to port the number and enable their CallNotes Voice Mail service which was a feature provided with the CallVantage service.
