AOL Internet Service Provider
AOL will not let go

AOL is my internet service provider, Back in Feb. 2001 I was connected with AOL DSL service. I was not satified with their service. So in Feb. 2001 I decided I no longer wanted their service and I was going to go with another Internet Service Provider. I contacted AOL and ask to be disconnected from their service. I was informed they would do that. But what happened was every time I contact another service provider I informed AOL DSL is still on my phone line and the other service cannot connect. Then AOL reinstated the DSL service without my consent and offered my one month free. I told them I no longer wanted their service and please clear my phone line. Some 4 months later I still don't have an internet service provider for DSL and as of a week ago my phone line was not clear of AOL's DSL on my phone line. I have called AOL a number of times with no satisfaction. They will not let me go.
