Dell's Customer Service is a round around - Reason to avoid Dell Products

I purchased a new desktop. It arrived and I set it up. Within 1 day there was a system board error. I followed the Troubleshooting manual and ran the diagnostic tests. When it became clear that it was a System Board Error - I called Dell Support.

The wait time is anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes (unless you purchase better support). Once I got through to a technical person, I was transferred around to 5 people and finally was put back in the rotation to start from the beginning. The last person stayed on the line with me and was unable to transfer me to the correct person and suggested I call back early today.

Today, they passed me around and hang up on me, I believe, because I want to return the computer for a full refund. I only have 21 days in which I may do that...

Everyone is very nice and apologetic, but the fact remains nothing has been done to either return the computer for repair, or return the computer for full refund.

Sounds to me as though they are waiting me out so that the full refund period has elapsed.

I'm sending a next day delivery, certified return receipt requested letter to the corporate offices with a copy to my lawyer to ensure I can get rid of the Dell product and the Dell Customer "Service" once and for all.

Never again! For those who have and love their Dell products - I don't get it but I hope you never have problems.
