RIPOFF eBay Seller, takes your money, then cancels the auction! Winslow, Maine

Completed a Buy-It-Now (BIN) auction on eBay on 11/18/08 for a 3-season set of Taxi TV Series DVDs. Paid immediately with my PayPal account. The money was drawn out of my checking account the very next day. 1 week later, the Teckwave emailed me stating the item was back-ordered. I called them at 207-692-2527 and spoke to "Adam". He said they had an "inventory" mis-count and actually had 1 less than they thought for sale. He also said they would get more in stock on 12/5/08. I said I could wait and they could ship then.

Today, 11/28/08, I get a request on eBay from the seller to cancel the transaction because they were out of stock. Not a problem, but these crooks also filed an "unpaid item" dispute! This was for an item that I already paid for using PayPal! What a crock of $hit!

I immediately tried to call them and got a voicemail system. I left them a stern message that they needed to call me immediately or I would notify the authorities and file fraud charges. I have not heard back from them at this time.

I filed complaints with both eBay and Paypal, but, at this point, it's unclear what will happen, whether I will get my money back or not ($64.00).

To make matters even worse, Ebay and Paypal were certainly no help in this situation, either. They are both owned by the same company, yet they allow a seller to file an unpaid item dispute for an item that they KNOW is already fully paid! I called PayPal customer service and was told that "they" have my money, but can't release it because *I* filed a dispute! Ufb! I explained that I filed my dispute against the seller because they filed an unpaid item dispute unfairly. No matter, the dumb$hit I spoke with at PayPal said it wasn't "their" problem!

At any rate, this "company" has a HORRIBLE reputation on the internet. They LIE, then LIE again to cover their lies. These a$holes have had my money for 9 days interest-free.in all likelihood, they never had tangible product for sale at all.

I am filing this complaint here (and elsewhere!) because I didn't see anything about Teckwave on this site, and I want people to know what a bunch of crooks these people are.

I will follow up with more info as this unfolds...

Stay away from teckwave unless you like giving your money to crooks!
