Aol Alert
Ripoff of 159.98 instead of paying business opal world via paypal per their web page consumer fraud ripoff

Internet & Web

I have been making purchases from an Opal Dealer in Austrialia without any problems whatsoever via AOL Paypal, up until December.

Then one morning an Ad screen pops up through AOL. It said AOL ALERT in bold red letters. It tried taking over my screen when I clicked on the red X to get rid of it. Then another screen popped up (I don't remember what it said) and I clicked on that red X to clear that off the screen. Then AOL ALERT popped up again for the second time. I clicked on the red X again and it did go away. I thought everything was fine.

I then continued with my purchases. I sent an email to the company and they never received my payments. My bank statement arrived and there were the payments listed. Now that I have the 800's for the double theft I'll call them. $159.98 is missing from my account.

I was using PAYPAL as provided on the payment page of the merchandise, which is AOL.

Moving forward, I will not use AOL or purchase anyone's merchandise using AOL. I'm not rich, I'm not poor but this really has hurt the budget!

I've just gotten my bank statement, finally.
Two payments were taken out of my account. I'll be contacting PayPal somehow. (to-date Paypal has not responded to my two inquiries whatsoever!)
