Ripoff unauthorized withdrawals from checking account

PayPal inssted that I get Verified. Becoming Verified means that you maintain a confirmed bank account in your PayPal account. Because banks are required by law to screen account holders, Verification authenticates a member's identity and increases the security of the PayPal network for everyone. You can get Verified by adding and confirming a checking account. Verification increases the security of the PayPal network and allows you to spend more!

No where when I sigend up for this did they tel me that I would be paying for purchases through my checking account. I hate to tell them that I can send checks out myself and not use PayPal.

I got verified and then when I went to pay for a purchase from EBay with PayPal, they withdrew the money from my checking account. PayPal does not have permission to do this. I was paying for all my purchases with my AMEX Card throught PayPal.

Now PayPal has ripped me off. Be careful.
