RDur2@aol.com, Contacted me on Ebay when I lost on a bid I made to an auction Ripoff

I was bidding on a copy of Star Trek - Deep Space 9, the complete show of 7 seasons on DVD. This was on Ebay.

I lost the bid on the auction at which point "Robert Duran" (RDur2@aol.com) contacted me to suggest I buy his used copy directly from him. At the time, I was naive and figured there was no harm. He also had a Paypal "verified" account, which further suggested he was trustworthy. Finally, he also said we could do it on Ebay, but the cost would be higher due to Ebay fees and such.

I figured there was no need to pay the extra cost and since he was ok with Ebay (a bluff, perhaps?), I went ahead and told him to send me a Paypal invoice. I did delay payment for a few days to collect the funds, and during those days, he emailed me 4-5 times asking me for payment.

Once I made the payment, he took 2 whole days to send me a tracking #. The tracking # (thanks to USPS) did not even show up as valid for 4 days but when it did, it was for a different destination address and in fact got shipped 24 hrs ago (not to me!). He sent me another tracking #... This time for an item that was shipped and received a month before I paid him!

He is completely unresponsive now.
