Promised a full refund of $289.45 in credit card account. It has been way past due

I signed up for a plan option with the company after a customer service person pretty much forced me into buying it and told me that if I was not happy, i could contact them for a refund. That night after perusing the company's web site, I found an entry that was contrary to what the customer5 service analyst informed me. I started emailing them and phoning them to request cancellation of the plan, which I was advised was completed and that my full amount would be readded to my credit card account. This email was sent to me on June 20th:

"Per our conversation, we give our apologies for such a serious dissatisfaction and your decision to leave us so soon.in an effort to bridge this issue, we have issued a full refund or the $289.45. You should expect this to credit to your account in the next 5-7 business days. Once again, we apologize for your dissatisfaction, and wish you the best in your search for Health Care.

It is now 07/06 and I still havent received my refund yet. I have emailed the company to find out what is happening, and I havent had a reply yet. I called the customer services section of the company and requested to speak to a supervisor. I was told that he was on the phone and that he would call me back shortly. This was 2 hours ago.

I have requested through my bank that the charge be disputed but they can only begin working the case on 07/16. The Better Business Bureau has advised that I needed to wait 30 days for feedback from them after I submitted a complaint through them.

It took them q few days to take my money from my credit card, but am now finding it hard to understand why it is taking so long to refund it. I am being played like a mfool. It makes me wonder what kind of treatment I would have received if I did stay with them especially if I needed to file a claim through them for an illness.
