Collection of a Dentist bill

They claim I owe them money for a Doctor visit on 2/16 for my daughters mouth guard. As you know you can not take a mouth guard unless it is payed in full. Our insurance plan stated clearly on EOB that it did not cover mouth guard. When we went to the visit the nurse that they called the insurance and it was not covered. I also called and was told the same information. On 1/23 they measured my daughter for her mouth guard. I ask the billing department how much it would cost me the cost was given to me $360.00. On 01/23 I gave a credit cared payment of $180.50 and on the return visit to pick up the mouth guard I paid the balance due of $180.50. Now I get collection letters asking for a balance of $302.40.

I called the Dental Insurance and the office of Dr. M.J. Leahy on three way conference. The Dental Insurance told billing department they can not charge me more money after they now that EOB stated its not covered by them. Insurance mention you gave her price of $361.00.

This is so frustrating. Billing department threatening to send it to a collection agency.
