Ripoff Refused to Replace Defective Product

To anyone thinking about doing business with this company - DON'T!

I ordered a Sony Voice Recorder with Dragon Naturally Speaking software from DataVision on July 14th. It did not arrive until July 21st. The Recorder was clearly marked that it did not include the software. The disk for the software looked like it was just thrown into the box. It had no case and had scratches all over it such that it could not be installed. I sent an e: mail on the 22nd received no acknowledgement or response. I called twice to be told by the same person with the same voice that ultimately ended up to be the correct person I needed to talk to had gone home.

Apparently, they were trying to stall to get past the 14 day replacement period. When I finally did reach "Andy", he was absolutely rude and obnoxious. He said he was the owner and that they did not stand behind their products and wanted me to work with the manufacturer for replacement.

Though still within the item return time, when I said I would just return it, I was told I would have to pay a $15 day restocking fee and pay for shipping. I was willing to do that, to not have to do business with this company but they had such little integrity, I was concerned that I would not get my refund. I finally called Sony and Sony does stand behind its product and will work it out with the Dragon.

Whatever you do - do not do business with this company.

I saved all of 20 dollars using this company - it WAS DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. I will never buy from a company I do not know on the internet again.
