Made to Repay Unrecorded Cash Payments After Employee Theft

I purchased a TV and paid it off within 3 months, but I did not keep the receipt. When I was phoned about my purchase and told I owed money, I told the woman I had paid in full within 3 months and that I did not owe anything. She told me about an employee who had stolen cash payments and apologized. Two of my payments had been made in cash.

A month later I was told that since there was no record in the computer of my payments, I still had to pay those unrecorded payments. Instead of the franchise eating the loss, the management had me pay for their employees' theft, or maybe their own scam!

In the interim I moved to another state, but the store harassed my ex-husband until he gave them the TV back. I had paid $600.00 and they took the TV back from him.
