Don't use a Verizon black box

Several months ago I purchased a Verizon 'black box' to enable them to become my land phone carrier. I had a number of problems getting it set up but finally it worked... Sort of. Continuously I would get a message when calling out that they could not connect the number as dialed and friends and customers regularly complained that my voice sounded 'tinny' and they could barely hear me. Twice I contacted customer service and got no satisfaction. I went into the Verizon store where the box was purchased and they were not able to help me.in defense to the poor equipment and to protect my relationships with clients, I finally switched back to AT&T as my land carrier. Verizon charged me $160 early termination fee. They indicate it is my fault for not letting them 'trouble shoot' the problems although I did try to get assistance three times. My warning is to not use this equipment if you value the quality of your land phone calls.
