I had been a valued customer with AT&T in New York City for about 2 years. Never missed a payment, never had a late payment. And I must say that in New York, their service was fine. I had no problems out of them. Once I moved to Georgia state I had to switch the plan over to the city of Augusta, and I thought it would be easy.

Their service wasn't that great down there (meaning the signal), but I had been with them so long. So I receive a bill for like six hundred and seventy dollars and when I looked at the bill, they had put down a plan I did not ask for. Luckily, the customer service rep. Had noted down what plan I did choose and that bill was waived. She just entered the wrong plan.

Okay, so I end up moving from Augusta to Atlanta Georgia where I needed to switch my service over again. I had started a job with a group of traveling doctors which would have required me to have a plan that covered the whole Georgia state and East Coast (if they had such a plan). I clearly explained this to the customer service rep. She told me about a plan that was going to be a little expensive and I was okay with that so I told her that plan was what I wanted, but this time it was not noted and she gave me a "LOCAL" plan!

I took a trip to New York and never once did my phone say "roaming" or anything. When I returned to Georgia my bill was for two thousand-three hundred dollars, give or take a few dollars. I was so outraged I called to see why and I was told I had a local plan. After speaking with like 10 different people I was told the matter would be transferred to the "Resolution Department".

After about a week, I get a call stating that the supervisor of that department rejected my claim and that there was nothing else that could be done. I asked for the supervisor's name and number, and the customer service representative supposedly did not have that number but offered to transfer me to that department where I was told once again that there was nothing they can do.

That was about a year an a half ago and now I'm receiving letters from some attorneys office trying to retrieve that money. I did not think that was fare and now they've destroyed my credit. I refuse to give one dollar to that bill. Also when I requested the so-called taped conversation between the customer service rep. And I, they claim it was not recorded. I just don't know what else to do regarding that. I did not have money at the time to hire a lawyer and still do not now. I just hope it goes away with time.
