We recently nada terrible experience at toys r us. We Purchased a baby playpen for our unborn son. At birth we were told our child would not survive. Since then we have been in the hospital fighting for his life for 15 weeks. We finally decided we would return some items that he may never get to use, one of which is the playpen from toys r us. We were told they would not accept it for a refund or even an in store credit because it had exceeded the 90 day return policy. We explained our unique situation (with our hospital bands still on our wrists) asking for ANY help they could provide. They still refused to help us. We even contacted corporate which still refused to help! We are the type of customers which are loyal and a majority of the time I will give a product to someone else rather then return it, but this playpen was still packaged, sealed with the toys r us sticker and price tag attached. I found their response very uncaring and heartbreaking. No parent plans for their child to be born so sick or to die when they shop for their baby's arrival.
