Sale pricing and signs

Went to Home Depot to purchase a new refrigerator and stove. Sign said on sale $1198 for the fridge. Different sizes available. Went to place my order and the salesmen told me that only thr 35" was on sale for $1198, the one I wanted was a 33" and I had to pay $1798 for it. No help from the store, said the price was the price. Spoke to a lady in Atlanta Customer care center Cynitha she called the store and she got nowhere. The sign was misleading!!! And a 35" fridge for $1198 and the same model in a smaller size 33" for $1798, what is wrong with the picture? Will never do business with the Home Depot again and will warn all to question EVERYTHING about the store and not to take anything for face value.
