DataVis.com We Honor Our $5 Coupons. They Just cost $5 more to ship

The Scam: I added the Icemate mousepad below to my cart at DataVis.com (I got there via Google Shopping). Total was $39.99 $3.99 for Ground Shipping, calculated by my location.
At checkout, I applied a $5 coupon code, which had terms stating that the total of the order must be $25 to $99.99.
I noticed after they applied the coupon & showed the disocunt of $5, the shipping rates conveniently jumped up to $8.29 for what they called a 3-8 day delivery service (sounds like ground to me).

What a crock! They add the $5 discount to the shipping & I bet most people fall for this unethical scam. Its pure robbery.

The ethics bothered me so much that I actually called the company & explained what happened. First, the representative (who I believe was the owner) tried to B.S. His way out of this, saying that the coupon code is only for $50 or more, and the cart did this to balance out the coupon so that it was fair.
