I purchased a RCA HDTV May 13. On Oct. 19th the lamp blew out. I started calling RCA Oct. 20th. I was advised that someone would contact me from the warranty department in 3 to 4 days. I'm still waiting for the call. I waited until the 4th day to call back. Again, I was told they'd call in 3 to 4 days. Still no call, but was advised I could secure the lamp with a credit card as soon as the warranty department called me back. On the 7th day I called them back and demanded to speak with a supervisor. I didn't realize that RCA doesn't have any supervisors that actually get on the phone. I've not spoken with one yet. I called back a third time on the 8th day and was told that I could not secure the lamp with a credit card. The model that I purchased need me to return the base along with the lamp, before the could replace it. Okay, I finally mailed in the lamp on Nov. 10th. I was tired of calling them to find out where the lamp was and why I had to mail in the broken part. I've demanded at least 20 times now to speak with a supervisor and again and again I'm put off. Now the broken lamp reached the dock on Nov. 14th. A Mr. Sanchez signed for it at 12:35pm on the dock, but the warehouse hasn't received it yet. It's been 10 days since the part was received. I should have the new part (lamp) in my hand ready to install. I now have to wait another 7-10 business days before I will receive the lamp. Wow, 1 1/2 months until I will have my tv repaired. That's only if the part shows up this time. I'm sure they'll forget to mail it or say they don't know what I'm talking about again. It bites my butt that we work so hard to save to buy a product and we can't even use it after we break our backs to get it. I will never buy another RCA product.
