Poor product quality poor customer service

Electronics and household app.

The product skips all the time the frame freezes and then i have to turn it off for several hours and then try again later. It's not the game it's the unit. It does it w/movies and games but mostly w/games. I called sony twice and both times they're telling me because i didn't purchase it from an authorized dealer that they won't fix it. But it doesn't say that when you register the product and typically they can see if it's been registered before which it has not. It's within a year of purchase and they still won't cover it. I think it's unfair while i didn't purchase it from a authorized dealer this doesn't change the fact that they still made a crappy product! Some people cannot afford the $400 plus dollars sony charges for these things so they get it $100 cheaper because they want the product but if sony made something that is clearly defective they should cover it. I have proof showing i paid for it within a year. I should be allowed to send it in and they look at it, if it's determined the item has been refurbished or altered in any way then they should tell me the the warranty won't fix it. But i think it's unfair they made crappy products and didn't notify their customers of the warranty polices until after the item was registered. It's on the website under support but they should put that information in every single kit purchased. Microsoft doesn't do this w/the xbox 360 we bought ours on ebay and they fix it regardless.

Sony makes crappy products and then won't cover it if you don't purchase it from one of their "authorized retailers" but they don't tell you this until after you've registered it and not before. Poor customer service, poor quality!
