Rude, blaming me for the promises they made

I had Directv service until I needed a home phone. I found a pkg. Deal with Comcast. I called Directv and they said "No problem". To avoid the contract penalty, just put the service in "suspension" and they would send me a final bill and a box to return the equipment.
I thanked them for their understanding and was impressed at their generosity. Made a mental note to use them again if they offered a pkg in my arrea.

I received months of bills saying I owed nothing. This month I received a bill stating I owed them $153.74. I called reight away. The first gal Erica said no problem as she could see the notes stating that I had informed them months ago, but that she would transfer me to someone else.

Whitney said, no, no refund. I could fight the charges, but they remained my charge.

I asked for the supervisor. This person was abrupt, rude, and accused me of trying to basically defraud their company. I told her it was her compoany that suggested I go on suspension and assured me this was the way to go to avoid cancellation fees. She said they should not have done that. She could see in her computer that it had been done, but continued to say I had basically lied to them of my intentions.

She said I could try to fight it, but they would charge what I owed if they had a credit card on file.

At this point I told her as a 70 yr old person, I had felt that I was tricked and basically was kept in their system so they could ding me at a later date.

THe Better Business Bureau does not have a listing for the Colorado Directv. I wonder why?
