Lied about service, Unable to reach customer service to disconnect before 90 day money back trial ended, Lost over $500 for 2 stupid orange boxes! Ripoff

Vonage seemed like a good deal. I called and signed up. I made sure to ask if the service was through a phone line, or the internet. The woman who signed me up spoke broken English and I could hardly understand her, but I spoke to her for over an hour and was confident that the service was through a land-line, not the internet. She spoke the terms and conditions insanely fast and I gave my phone "signature".

After the boxes arrived, I realized they did indeed have to be hooked up through the internet (which I did not want). I called to cancel and spent hours waiting on hold and getting disconnected, over and over, to reach a "Customer Service Agent" who could disconnect it. Then I had to go out of town.

I came back, and for weeks I spent an hour here, and an hour there waiting and getting disconnected, trying to reach the Customer Service to disconnect.

I finally reached someone last week, after spending over 4 hours getting hung up on over and over.By the way, their Customer Service is only open during East Coast work hours. So I got to make all of these calls while at work. He said he handles angry calls all day and I felt kind of bad for him.

It cost me about $300 to disconnect the 2 lines I had signed up for. Why? I couldn't say. This company SUCKS! Do not get Vonage. I spent over 10 hours on hold trying to cancel the service that I had never even hooked up to begin with!!!
