TV and VCR Combo Defective After 30-Day Window and Repair Delayed

I bought a t.V. From Best Buy on May 3. It was a t.V. Vcr combo. When I went to use the vcr portion for the first time on June 8 it would only eject and when I went to shut the t.V. Off it would automatically turn back on. So I went back to the store but, it was 5 days past the 30 day exchange policy even though I had the receipt. They told me I should have bought a service plan and offered to send it out for repair. It was due to be fixed by June 19 and now it is June 28th and I come to find out the t.V.
