Ripoff telemarketing calls several times a day with no method of removing

We have been getting calls from this number [888-223-2355] several times per day for the past month. This is a telemarketing division of Verizon. They never leave a message. The calls are automated, so if you do not answer, your number goes back into the loop.

Keep in mind that we are NOT Verizon customers and we ARE on the National Do Not Call list. Therefore, these calls are in direct violation of federal law.

I did a web search for this number and found numerous complaints. I went to whocalled.Us and filed complaints on several of the calls and reported them for the DNC list violations.

I finally called the number back and never got an option to actually speak to a person, so I went back through the menu and chose a selection for sales, then got transferred by a real person to the legal compliance dept.

I informed this woman that verizon was in clear and documented violation of federal law and asked her what part of that she did not understand. She mumbled and said she would remove me from their lists but it could take 30 days.

I then informed her it needed to be done today, as the next call we get will result in stalking charges as well as a civil lawsuit for blatant violations of federal law.
I think I got the attention of the legal compliance dept at Verizon. Anyone else having this experience?
