Free Hotel Stay is not free

We went to Sunshine Vacations to listen to their talk about our FREE 3 day/2 night vacation that we WON at any Marriott hotel. They swore it would only take 1 hour so... What the heck.

Got there. All good. Had to sign a form saying that we acknowledged that we would have to pay a $50 refundable deposit for the FREE hotel stay. Of course, this was not mentioned in the phone call to me to get me to go. But, since I only lived 10 minutes away. What the heck.

Listened to the talk. All was good if... They staye in business for that long... And... If we took that many vacations, which we don't. Started at $12000... After we went into room with sales rep... Went down from there. We just don't vacation 1 week at a time at any 1 place. So, not for us. After 60 minutes. I cut her off saying "Where are our free gifts.???" Otherwise, I am sure we would still be there.

Aaron came in. Talked to us. Made us an offer for only $3000 with $700 down today. Naw... Not for us. Ok, no problem.

Victor then talked to us and gave us our crappy hotel certificates. He said he could make us a $600 offer. I said..."That makes me concerned because... Why didn't they offer that to begin with???" He got all mad... Oh well. Gave us our crappy certificates that require a $50 deposit and. To request the days for the hotel use 60 days in advance. Forget that! Do you think I will ever see my $50 again as they say... Those dates you requested are not available??? Spirit Incentives... Hah!

Oh well. Only a 10 minute drive or us. Too bad about the other folks there from Portsmouth. A bit longer of a drive for them.
