Motorola - Verizonwireless Ripoff defective cell phones

I was eligible for a Free cell phone for my service with verizon wireless in march a cs suggested the new PHONE... I had my phone for less than 90 DAYS AND it had to be replaced, I took it to the verizonwirelss store on st rose and eastern in Las Vegas and they replaced it no problem. I had the replacement for less than 30 days and it went bad. Took back to a verizonwireless store closer to where I live, sunset and stephonie and they would not replace it because the manager said it showed water damage. How it got water damage I have NO idea other than our humidity is very high here

Anyway they wrote up a report that went into my "record' and said I had the choice of either using my old phone if I still had it or buying a new phone at retail price which is well over 130.00 since I had not insured my orginal razr cell phone which would have cost me 4.99 a month with a 50.00 deductable.

The cs manager at the sunset store acted like I was trying to rip off poor verizonwireless. My husband checked his phone and it shows it has had water damage also but is still working.

I think it is a manufactures defect in these cell phones that they are way to sensitive to moisture. I would like to know if anyone else has had a problem with the razr cell phone. I purchased a verizon authorized cell phone from wal mart for half the price it would have been at the verizon store, took it to the st rose and eastern vw store and they cheefully programed it for me for my service.

Now if you have to carry insurance, at 5.00 a month in order to have your phone replaced, that does not make the phone FREE. I am not sure how to contact Motorola but I think the razr is defective.

My complaint is not with All verizonwireless stores as the st rose and eastern store was very helpful and as a whole verizon has been a satsifactory provider for me just the RAZR cell phone and the SUNSET and STEPHONIE store manager.
