Ripoff Cingular overcharged for service

My wife and I had Cingular for almost 2 years and were never able to figure out how we could talk so many minutes each month, especially when we could talk to each other unlimited for an additional charge of 19.95 a month. When we disputed the bills, they offered no relief.

We decided to buy out of the contract we were currently in (2 phones, 1 contract expired which left one remaining). That cost us 150 dollars, which to me was worth it to get away from those crooks. My wife cancelled with Cingular before I got the numbers carried over to Alltel. Alltel told me to call them and ask them to reconnect so they can transfer the numbers. When i got on the phone with Cingular they said they couldn't reconnect service until I payed the balance of my service which was around 80 dollars. Mind you we already payed the 150. Anyway i said forget and had Alltel give me new numbers.

Here is where it got aggrivating. About a week after we paid the 80 dollars, we got another bill for over 300 dollars from Cingular saying it was our final bill. For What? They sent it to collections which we had to pay to keep it off our credit reports. These people are truly crooks and they make your bill confusing for a reason.

This is what has to change folks, if me and you have a dispute over money we have to go to court and I have to prove that you owe me that money. These big corporations don't have to prove a thing. They say you owe and if you don't pay up, there goes your credit. And good luck getting any fair resolution from the Credit Reporting Agencies.
