LG doesn't make it warranty parts

Our LG washer is 5 years old. It has been used carefully for a family of four. The front load assembly (rubber gasket) has failed. LG no longer makes the lifetime warranty part. Best Buy who we bought it from has tried to help but doesn't keep records to support our claim. We contacted LG's corporate office and we told "too bad, sorry." To the companies people's credit the regional sales rep told us if we could find the part he'd pay for it. But no part, no replacement part. Don't buy LG if you expect their appliances to last longer than 5 years.
