Siding job inadequate - Home Depot Siding Contractors

Electronics and household app.

To whom this may concern, On October 4th my husband signed an agreement to have the front and side of our house sided, with the rest of the house to be completed in stages later on. The selling point for us was the salesman, Richard, his presentation and the expectation that the completed job would resemble the presentation. It didn%u2019t happen. Expecting a professional crew to show up and get started and finished in a timely manner. It didn%u2019t happen. Once the work commenced it was apparent that quality of work had no priority in the scheme of things, only an attitude of get it done and get out. Not something we expected from Home Depot and especially not for the money we were spending. Even as the job progressed we kept thinking that somewhere during the process that inspections would be occurring to ensure a job well done. It didn%u2019t happen. While we admit we are not siding experts (that%u2018s why we called you folks), understanding the mechanics of the job. With that being said, we know what a finished project should look like. The finished job should resemble the presentation right? It didn%u2019t happen and still has not happened, even though someone came to fix the problems, because it still needs tending to. The only thing that seemed to be important was that when they finished the job, was that the job order be signed as completed so the men could get paid for the job. We held off signing for a while, citing our misgivings about the job and what we were paying for. We pointed out several areas that needed attention and my question is, who is in charge of quality assurance for Home Depot? We have been in contact with Sheree Boehms, Justin Buchanan and Dottie Penny concerning our dissatisfaction with how the job was done or not done. Dottie came out took pictures of the siding and I also gave her some of the pictures we had taken. So, thinking that this was finally going to be taken care of, we started feeling better about it. A young man named George showed up to repair the mistakes. When my husband came home from work and George had left by then, my husband could not tell what had been done. Also, to date, no one has followed up with us or came by to inspect the repairs. So now, you have us on the hook for this job to the tune of $5,795 and we feel like we%u2019ve been scammed. Is that how we%u2019re supposed to feel? Unless the siding is made right, we will not have Home Depot finish the rest of the house. We%u2019ll find someone else to finish the house. We will pay our bill, but it will be the last time that we conduct any business with your company and we will not recommend your company to anyone. On the contrary, we will advise them to stay away and tell them our story. I don%u2019t know what has happened to integrity, honoring an agreement and customer satisfaction. Those are the things that sell and keep selling.

Sincerely,

Gary and Velinda Norton
