Certain Teed Corp
Refused to honor warranty on defective product

I had my house sided with vinyl siding from certain teed corp. I wanted to go with a brand name from a long standing company that would back up their product and was willing to pay more to have this piece of mind.

If was just looking for cheap I could have gone with home depot. The color of the siding is called pacific blue. When this siding was installed on the south side of my home it warped the next day. The south side of my home looks like its made of wax.

Please keep in mind that the house in located in New England not Arizona or a desert location. It was not even summer time. This product cant even handle fall weather in new england it must be awful in other areas of the country.

I then contacted the distributor and got the Certain teed warranty forms. I followed their instrutions and mailed it off.in a few weeks I received a letter from certain teed telling me they are denying all responsibility for their product as they cannot be help responsible for outside temps. All other contact attempts with them have been ignored.

After dealing with this slap in the face I talked to other contractors and all told me before I even finished that the siding was blue in color. Among the contractors it is known to be problems with blue vinyl siding. I have no other choice to to believe that certain teed is knowingly selling defective product. I know because I am left with the ruins.

A warning to all unsuspecting homeowners; Stay away from blue vinyl siding and most of all, DO NOT use building products from certain teed corp, they will not stand behind them!
