Foreign Buyer Used Stolen Credit Card Through PayPal, PayPal Would Not Reimburse ripoff

Hello.

On 6/22/03 Groote Cornelis of 35100 CRUCE DE ARINAGA, France, purchased an 18k W/Y Gold Rolo Bracelet from me through Ebay and paid me via Paypal, an internet payment service provider for $160.00 (eBay Payment Received ID #7P784432D46303101). He gave me the address listed in Spain as the address he wanted it sent to because he was on vacation (CALLE. Guanarteme edif. Juan carlos. 123 2a
cruce de arinaga las palmas de gran canaria 35260 spania). That same day the payment was received and Paypal notified me that the payment was completed.

On the 24th, I sent out the package, International Domestic Insured (VD 294 731 007 US). No sooner did I get back from mailing the package and Paypal advised me that they were going to reverse the payment for the bracelet to the payee because the credit card had an unauthorized user. Groote Cornelis had hacked into Paypal and stolen someone's credit card number to pay me. It had the name and address of Daniel Edmond, and email. Now I am out $160.00 for the Ebay item, $20.00 for shipping, and $250.00 for the original purchase price I had made five years ago.

Paypal will not reimburse the money even though the whole issue wouldn't had happened if the site wasn't so easily able to be hacked into by this person. They need to be held responsible to the people, having their personal checking account and credit card numbers on their database. I want to be reimbursed a total of $180.00.
