My report is one many would think is a simple open and shut case, but obviously enough, the people who wouldnt think so all work for BOF. Here is my situation. On October 16th I made a cash deposit (BIG MISTAKE) of $150 into the ATM. There were 7-$20 and 1-$10. On the 23rd of the month I got a reversal of that amount in my account. I called the bank and the gentleman reversed the reversal until an investigation has been conducted. Within the 5 business days they had taken the money from my account once again. I called back and asked why and their comment was "There was no envelope found'. Yeah, figure that?

I continued to explain to them that "NO, you will not find an envelope b/c someone took it". They refused to accept that, they were more convinced that I had not put ANYTHING into the ATM and made a false deposit of $150.

So, I wanted to find out myself what happens if I DID try to make a false deposit. So I went back to the same ATM and attempted to make a deposit. I was quoted from the "EXPERTS" at the bank that after a period of time the deposit door will close and complete the transaction without nothing going into the ATM. So, I entered my PINDepositChecking$10.00Door Opens and I stand there. After one minute it beeps and asks me if i need more time, I say yes. Another minute pass, do you need more time, No. I think thats long enought to stand at the ATM with this beeping going on. So, that proved MY point that you CANNOT complete a transaction at the ATM without putting SOMETHING into the ATM.

The same day, I called the disputes department and talked to yet another person. I told her what I had discovered and she says, still there is nothing that they can do, your claim was sent to disputes and again it was denied b/c they cannot find the envelope. I explained that, you stated before that the transaction was completed althought I put nothing in the ATM, but I have proven that this claim is false, and you still feel there is nothing that can be done? She stood by her guns, ALTHOUGH she stated that she understood where i was coming from, she was still not able/willing to do anything to help. She gave me another number to FAX my complaint to with any information that was found. I called back the follwoing day and it was noted that they had received the fax and it will take again 5 business days to reach a decision. Today was the 6th day and still nothing, so I called the bank and once again, all i get is "claim denied no envelope found".

At this point I dont know WHAT to do about this. There are no numbers they CLAIM to know to a corporate office or anyone that can help me. The "investigators" who make the "thorough investigations" have no names, no contact information and make no notation on what happend. I feel that its just a person sitting behind a desk with a pile of disputes and he just picks the ones he wants to approve or deny.

If anyone knows another course of action that I can take, please let me know. I know its just $150 but its $150 of MY money that the bank or an employee has taken.
