Cold Hearted Company! Refused to work with payment options!

Homecomings Is not a family friendly company. Back in January i bought a house and had my financing done through homecomings. I have made all my payments on time and in full to them. October the 22nd i had a wonderful baby boy and i have been on maternity break as of present time. I was going to be short on my November payment so i called them and asked if there was any way to either pay an interest only payment or to defer the payment for November. The response i recieved was that they didn't do that kind of thing. I was however offered 1 option. I could make a 1/4 of my normal house payment and they would break the rest of whats due up over the next 5 months. I thought great! Until... They informed me that i would be charged a late fee of just shy of $100.00 for each of the 5 months and my credit would be hit each month with a negative report of a past 30 day late mortgage payment. Wow, thats almost as distructive as going bankrupt when it comes to your credit report. Either way they didn't want to hear any of that. They had no other plans or offers for me to consider even after i explained my current situation to them. No compassion what so ever.

Ever since the 15th of this month i have recieved numerous phone calls from them wanting to know when they will recieve their payment. I have had as many as 13 documented phone calls in one day. So, not only will they not work with me, but they are harrassing me now also. I called back again today to see if they would consider helping me out in someway with a deferal or an interest only payment so i could make they payment before the end of the month, to no avail, i was told the same thing that i was told on the 8th when i spoke to them the first time. I was also told that they had no other options for me unless my account was 90 days past due. At that point, they can start the forcloseure process. I can't believe that a Mortgage company would rather foreclose that to work with a client and keep a family in their home so that the money would keep rolling in to them.

Is it just bad businuess? Or no Morals? Horrible work ethic? I don't know. I do however believe that these folks deserve a class action suit against them. It looks to me like they have thrown enough familys out of their homes and ripped enough people out of too much money to be able to get away from it. I would love to be involved in a law suit to shut this company down. If anyone has more information for me, please contact me and help my family be able to stay in our home.
