Ripoff fraud, unethical, illegal, crooks Baton Rouge

Approx. 2 years ago I received an enrollment kit from SMC. Since I had never heard of the company, I called them. They said that I had signed up for a membership. I denied this and they told me I had charged it to my mastercard. They would only give me 4 numbers of the credit card (if it were my card, why wouldn't they give me all?) They said the card was in my name and the phone number on the account was from Tampa, Florida. (I live in Wis.)

I told them that the 4 numbers from the credit card didn't match any of my card numbers and that I wanted the unauthorized membership cancelled. They said to send back the kit and they would credit me the $314. They also suggested that I might be a victim of identity theft.
I phoned all 3 credit reporting bureas and obtained reports from all 3. I also put protection on my accounts so that no one could obtain information without contacting me.

There were no credit cards listed except my valid ones... And no attempts had been made to obtain any new ones. So where did they come up with the card that was charged? Now I find out from a collection agency that SMC automatically renewed me (without any notification to me) and sent my name to the agency for nonpayment. Now I have to fight the agency, also... How can they renew an unauthorized membership???
