Never have we had dealings so disappointing with an organization as with Microsoft 's Xbo Live. We had purchased a 12 gift membership for our grandson. Things were 'OK' until renewal time, that is if you can call two hardware failures, one requiring unit replacement 'OK'. We/he was not compensated for the loss of use due to the hardware problems either by a prorated extension of his membership or refund/credit. We contacted support to cancel renewal of his membership. Much to our surprise our credit card was billed and his membership extended. Again contacting support we were informed nothing could be done thank's to Microsoft's no refund policy. We were told that support could not do anything to prevent automatic renewal. Support suggested switching billing to another credit card and contacting our credit card to block charges from Microsoft. (Talk about a company out of control!) We did this. Next renewal comes. Microsoft attempts to bill our new credit card. The charge is denied, so far so good. Then Microsoft resubmits the charge to our old credit card numerous times until it is paid. Neither Microsoft nor our credit card company could resolve the issue. We finally found someone at support who instructed us to replace the credit card information with a gift card.

Three years of time, probably fifty hours of sitting on the phone, and hundreds of dollars later his membership is finally not being renewed! We find Microsoft's practices predatory, unethical, and quite frankly fraudulent! Avoid doing business with this company! Nothing good will come from it!
