Once a company like this gets your credit card number, you will be doing business with them whether you want to or not. Many people think that it's illegal to pay for something by using another guy's credit card account but apparently it either is legal or the law is'nt enforced.

After all they don't take your card away & they give you a membership in something that actually exists. You will have to find out what the service is and use it! Cancelling your membership won't help because they have your name and card number so they can sell you a new membership or give your number to a company that they are associated with and you will be signed up for another virtual service.

The only way to avoid this is to get a new credit card cancell your old credit cards and dont give your new card number to anyone unless you know you can trust them. New credit cards are free and you could get a bonus just for accepting them.
