Milton Homer rip-off! I am extremely dissatisfied with the service! My experience was horrible!

Usacomplaints.com june 17 I submitted a complaint earlier but I am not able to find it so I will summarize and provide an update. I spent around $8,000 for 2 leather sofas and one chair that were delivered with cushions that did not fit properly. Thomson suggested I select something else but they didn't have anything similar in style and size to exchange. They picked the merchandise up for return in January.

When the credit didn't show up on my American Express, I was then told it was a store credit and they circled their 'no return' policy on the receipt. I contacted various consumer agencies to help me but they couldn't do much unless a merchant has numerous complaints.

Milton Homer returned the furniture to me so I could decide on whether to keep it or make another selection even though they didn't have anything similar. What good would a nearly $8,000 store credit be if I couldn't use it? The furniture was damaged but Milton Homer denied it even though I made a notation on the delivery receipt.

I made another desperate attempt to exchange and found items of similar size but completely different in style and construction. It turned out it wasn't an exchange at all because I would have had to spend thousands more, on top of what I had already spent!

Milton Homer picked the furniture up again for repairs and returned it with additional damages. The deny it. Damages were noted on the delivery receipt again. Strangely, the driver did not have normal delivery receipt so he gave me a copy of one of my faxes I sent to the store to sign. Damages were listed. Milton Homer also agreed to credit my card $1,000 but the credit was never issued.

I contacted the news media but they were not able to do anything more than act as a mediator. Milton Homer refused to issue a return to my credit card. The BBB and Consumer Affairs will only file a report because there are no other complaints on file. Milton Homer responded to the BBB and said they will bring harassment, defamation of character and slander suits against me! I am astonished that any company would ever consider suing an unhappy customer rather than resolve the problem!

If someone has an idea on how I can recover my loss without the expense of an attorney please respond! I'm afraid this company is going to go after me just because I'm trying to get help!
