Service call ripoff

I was out of town and had a tenant without heat. We caled A-1 Services to repair the gas boiler. The only problem was a burned out thermocouple ($about $5 at HD and maybe 10minutes to replace). I was charged a total of $250 for this service! $225 for labor and $25 for the thermocouple. I was charged 3hrs for labor on this! I spoke to Dave at A-1 (who hung up on me) and he said that I was charged for travel time and there was trafic. It seems unreasonable to me to pay for 2.5hrs travel time for a. 5hr job (all billed at full price!) CT isn't that big of a state. How many times did they drive back and forth across the state before they finally stopped to do the work?
