Webroot: Auto Renewal Scam

Nearly a year ago, I paid $19.99 for a 1-year subscription for the antivirus program Webroot. Today, I got a notice that my subscription will renew automatically at $39.99 -- double my current rate. In order to stop the auto renewal, I had to send an email notice.

First of all, I never recall agreeing to an automatic renewal-- it was most likely hidden in the fine print. Secondly, the renewal price was double my original rate.

I will never do business with a company with such sleazy practices.
