Rip-off! They won't pay or give letter of uninsure - I'm not even their customer

After being rear-ended, i contacted the driver's insurance, geico, to make a claim. It was quite simple and very much by the books. Armed with all the driver's information, even as far as the VIN # of their car, and the police report from the accident for which the driver was faulted, the claim went simple enough resulting in an appointment 6 days later with an adjuster for geico.

The day of the appointment, i received a phone call from Geico stating that they had canceled the appointment because they were investigating the situation as it appears the driver may not have been covered at the time of the accident. Still calm, i accepted the situation and was told to wait a few days for them to figure it out. I went ahead and made a claim with my company for uninsured motorist just to be ready.

It has now been more then 3 weeks later and geico still does not know if the driver was or was not covered and not only refuses to have their adjuster look at my truck, but also refuses to give me the letter claiming uninsured motorist so that i can have my company fix my truck, which i would gladdly do at this point. They won't fix it and they are actually keeping me from being able to fix it. Currently, my truck has no back wind shield and the breaks are messed up to the point that i am afraid to drive it. But i will tell you this: i have written in thick black magic marker: "geico sucks!!!" on the plastic which is taped to the back of my still broken truck.
