John Eilers ripoff dishonest auto dealership

My husband and I have tried to "buy locally" for several years to support our county. Grays Harbor County is semi-depressed area in Washington State.

We have tried at least 5 times in the past to buy a car from one of the local car dealers-Five Star. Each time we've attempted to buy a car, it's been the old bait and switch method.

Needless to say, we've driven another hour to Olympia, WA and purchased our vehicles.

In May of this year we tried ONE more time to deal with Five Star. We were basically given the run-around again on the phone so I just told them to forget it. I had a set price for the purchase, payments and the trade in allowance. I received a phone call at work from one of their salesmen (John Eilers) who said he would not b.S. Me... Everything would be black and white.

Mr. Eilers assured me that he could get my payments where we wanted, but could only allow $12,000 for our trade in... This was the absolute highest he could go and our truck was not worth much more than what he was offering. Our payoff was $13,700 and we didn't want to go "upside down" on our loan. Needless to say, Mr. Eilers is a very good salesman or should I say con-artist!!! He ended up selling us a car and only giving us $12,000 for our truck.

In July, we had the oil changed on our new vehicle, and much to our surprise our truck we traded in was parked beside the dealership with a big sticker on it. They were asking $18,300!!! We were totally shocked and felt like we had definitely been taken advantage of.

We should have never dealt with this dealership in the first place and I guess we learned a very expensive lesson... DO NOT buy a car from Five Star Ford Lincoln Mercury in Aberdeen Washington!!!
