High interest rates - Platinum Card

This company has gone from a highly customer related service to one of ineptitude, rigidity, and difficulty getting to the right person. I want to go down from a platinum card to a gold one without losing my points. I am not making the bulk of my charges on that card anymore. Because of the poor reception to my requests I am seriously thinking of not using them anymore.
