I have a 2000 sonata and my car has had problems for three years and no one at mesquite hyundai or billy barrett or the regional office has been able to help me or find the problem.

You are driving the car and you give it gas and can puch all the way to the floor and you don't go anywhere, then all of a sudden the car takes off on its own.

Sometimes the car will stop the engine will still be running but you loose all power. This means you can't steer the car or anything.

You turn the car off and it will start okay and you may go a day, a week, or a month before it happens again. When you are in traffic and your car looses power for no reason and you almost get hit this is a danger. I have almost been hit several times.

It use to happen every couple of months but the last month it happened twice on sat. Four times on sunday and twice on monday. I left it at dealer and they drove it and nothing happened.

I am now afraid to drive the car or put my grnad children in the car because it is a danger. I can not believe that they can't put the car on a machine or something and find the problem.

I even brought a witness to the dealership to tell them what it did when he was in the car. If anyone knows what the problem is please let me or hyundai know because no mechanic at the dealership has a clue.
