5 Jan purchased a 2007 Mercedes Benz from Luxury Cars of Charleston. 6 Jan I picked up the vehicle. The rims and tires contained a lot of guck. I questioned the service/saleman about it. He said give me a minute and let me take some of the guck off. This was the attempt to concealo damages on the rims and tires. I hardly ever drove the car. I began to notice the rims and the tires, noticeable damages. I phone the saleman and recorded the conversation. He immediately me said, "Ms Fludd you purchased a used car, nothing wrong with minor scratches on the rims". I asked to speak with Mr Derrick Williams, General Manager. Mr Williams was apprehensive about speaking with me and told David Mays to handle. I said I did not desire to speak with Mr Mays.
Finally got in touch with Mr Williams. Mr Williams told me to bring the car in. I brought the car in and Mr Mays said I will bring the Service Manager out. The Service Manager said yeah I see what you are talking about. He said we try to fix it but it didn't work. I asked the service Manager why did they try to conceal this information. Service Manager said they did not want out a lot of money in the car. Now Mr Williams agreed to have them repair the rims. I offered to have someone fix it who is reputable and can have the work done professionally. All I am requesting is that the bill be sent to Luxury Cars of Charleston. Mr Williams wants me to have them do the repairs.
I cannot trust Luxury Cars of Charleston to have it repaired at their shop, because they have already conceal valuable information about the vehicle. I want my cars repaired professionally and I will never, absolutely never want to with them again. This scam should be reported throughout the Charleston Area.
