Dishwasher Pump Leaking and Rusting Inside Unit

I bought a double-drawer Kenmore Elite dishwasher in 2007 for $1600. Nov 23 I discover the pump is leaking on the top unit and the bottom unit is leaking into the pan thus overflowing underneath. An independent plumber confirmed the leak was within the dishwasher. There's rust and erosion showing the internal degradation within the unit. I have a Hague Water System protecting my appliances and fixtures; therefore, it's obvious the Sears appliance is substandard in material quality and workmanship. I can't recoup my financial loss for my purchase, but I can share the bad experience with other potential buyers who, like me, may believe Sears Kenmore is still the same quality we knew when our parents and grandparents were buying them. Buyer beware.
